Speaker Bios:

Eric Gill: Since 1997 Eric Gill has been the owner/operator of  Bear Paw Property Management,  where he manages a staff of six.  His business is located on Main Street in Evergreen where he interacts with locals, newcomers, and those passing through. “I’m passionate about Evergreen and my desire is for it to remain the charming mountain town that it is,” he says.  His community involvement includes Rotary, Leadership Evergreen, the Evergreen Chamber, Downtown Business Association, and the Evergreen Legacy Fund.  Eric was named Evergreen’s Leader of the Year in 2017.

Lesley’s career has focused on what she loves most – helping people, solving complex problems, and giving back to our community. Her 30 years of experience includes serving as a senior-level executive in both the private and nonprofit sectors with a focus on strategic communications, community engagement, and public policy. Her career began as a journalist for Colorado Public Radio and won national awards for investigative and documentary reporting. Lesley was re-elected to a second term as a Jefferson County Commissioner in 2022 and is chair of the Board of County Commissioners. She’s one of two county commissioners appointed by Governor Polis to serve on the Colorado Fire Commission and she chairs the Gateway to the Rockies Regional Opioid Council, and serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Colorado Counties, Inc.

Erik Turnquist: Erik has been working at Jefferson County Transportation & Engineering for 6 years.  He has been involved with multiple transportation and drainage projects for the County.  He has worked with CDOT on the Local Agency process for the upcoming JC-73 project. 

Evan Brown is the Engineering Manager for Jefferson County Transportation & Engineering and has been with the County for 10 years.  He has been involved with transportation and drainage projects for the County as the engineer and project manager.  He is involved with the  upcoming JC-73 project and the Evergreen Local Improvement District (ELID). 

Moderator Bio: Alan Gionet has been a journalist for 37 years, arriving in Colorado in the early 90s. He has been a reporter and anchor, mostly at CBS Colorado. He and his wife first moved to Evergreen in 1996. They have four daughters, educated in Jefferson County schools. Alan likes to think he’s run in Elk Meadow more times than anyone over the years - somewhere around 3000 runs and he’s probably played more pond hockey at the lake in the winter than anyone as well.
